I eat Hanmi rice at home but had NEVER had it come out as it did when I used the Zojirushi rice cooker! 100% perfect steamed rice every time and with just a push of a button. I love the Zojirushi technology.
Zojirushi Induction Rice Cookers: These new Zojirushi rice cookers use induction heating for the ultimate in speed and even heating. You get perfectly cooked rice, faster than ever before. And the Zojirushi induction rice cookers’ GABA Brown setting also offers exciting new nutritional benefits.
Induction Heating: Induction heating works by creating a powerful magnetic field that makes the entire pan itself become the heating element. Heating begins the second the cycle starts, and heating is extremely even throughout the cycle. Induction rice cookers also provide faster cooking times that conventional rice cookers.
Automatic reheating & keep-warm cycles keep rice fresh tasting up to 12 hours.
Capacity: 1 to 10 cups (pre-cooked volume) for the -18 models, and 1 to 5 cups for the -10 model.

Computerized temperature control system: Zojirushi induction rice cookers provide outstanding results with all kinds of rice including white, brown, sushi, sticky, fluffy and sweet varieties, as well as porridge. Also included is a setting for prewashed rice.
Easy to read LCD controller is fully programmable and may be set for delayed cooking. Optional quick cook cycle reduces cooking time to approximately 22 to 33 minutes with regular rice.Includes easy to follow recipes. Programmable melody or beep on/off indicator. New larger digital display includes a clock.
New GABA Brown Rice Cycle: GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) is a nutrient in brown rice that researchers have found to lower blood pressure and relieve stress. The Zojirushi NH-VBC and NP-HBC rice cookers offer a special cycle that activates the GABA in brown rice, increasing it to 150% of the level in nonactivated rice. This special cycle keeps the rice at about 104° F. for about 2 hours. Total GABA-cycle time is about 3 hours to 3 hours and 40 minutes, and along with increasing the GABA level, it also makes brown rice softer.
The Zojirushi’s induction heating technology and spherical nonstick pan ensure even heating for perfectly cooked rice from these new Zojirushi rice cookers. Lock-tight, sealing lid keeps rice moist. Durable commercial grade nonstick interior for super fast and easy cleanup. NEW dimpled inner lid design ensures that condensation drips uniformly over rice surface, and inner lid is detachable for washing, a useful feature. Strong, comfortable carrying handles make the Zojirushi induction rice cookers convenient and easy to carry.

Texas Ebony (Ebenopsis ebano)
After acquiring a 22″ tall Texas Ebony tree at a Dallas Bonsai store, I became obsessed with the species enough to grow my own! Now that’s liking the specimen a lot.
Pictured herein is the original specimen and a link back to a website I created exclusively on Texas Ebony (Ebenopsis ebano). Within that site I’ve included photos of the tree off the internet, Texas Ebony Bonsai, and a section on growing your own Texas Ebony trees at home! Very nice.
My first growing effort was a success. I photographed the progress with details for growing your own from the rock hard seeds.
Finally, I’ve compiled some of the very limited online data on the species to include books and other website links.
Enjoy the information and graphics compiled so far. Certainly feel free to contact me at the bottom of any page with suggestions or contributions.

Kimchi Fusion Recipes
Although Kimchi remains Korea’s National side dish, some brave folks have ventured into culinary efforts where others haven’t thought about. I talk about some of the posters at youtube who’ve suggested a fusion of Korea meets American and Mexican.
You’ve had burgers, tacos, and pizza but have you thought about topping them off with Kimchi? Sure! Why not?!?!
So far I’ve tried the Kimchi Burger and Chuncheon style Kimchi pizza and well…..WE HAVE WINNERS FOR SURE!
Youtube member Tara1973 offers her innovations to include Kimchi, hot dogs, corned beef, and Reuben sandwiches!
I’d venture to say that even those who won’t eat Kimchi on it’s own, would find these fusion recipes VERY good indeed!
Check out the fusion recipes complete with instructional video, enjoy and explore fantastic fusion flavors!
I won’t ask how you lost the inner cooking pan of your precious Zojirushi rice cooker, but I’ve heard it happen before!
I’ve had a couple of e-mails asking where to purchase the inner pan as it was lost in a move or damaged. Fortunately for those of us who’ve invested good money in the rice cooker wonder, Zojirushi does deliver to your door replacement parts to include the inner pan!
I’ve listed 5 to 10 cup models HERE
I visit many sites regarding cookware (specifically rice cookers) to find visitors or “trolls” insisting their $10 or $15 rice cooker makes as fine a rice as Zojirushi.
I’ve yet to respond to such individuals as I’m busy enjoying the benefits of induction heating and other features which they obviously refuse to hear about.
I’m just amazed that someone who’s so happy with their cooker would cross over to Zojirushi discussions to tout a horn about their “other” rice cooker when we Zojirushi owners have been there and done that!
It’s like listening to an atheist denounce God. Why spend time discounting and preaching against that which you don’t believe in? Because you’re uninformed maybe? I don’t know.
Shouldn’t they be with the non Zojirushi crowd exchanging recipes when it comes to making, say, sushi rice, brown rice, steamed rice, porridge, assuming their cooker does so?
If their $15 rice cooker does as well as Zojirushi, then we’ve been had but I can’t find such a user who does as well as we do with the Zojirushi brand.
If they are interested, I have specs on the Zojirushi Rice Cookers here:
or they can visit my site http://www.lovethatkimchi.com
Well slap me silly! Why didn’t we think of this sooner? Remember your old rice cooker and the flat inner pan that became home to the less desirable scorched/burned rice? I remember spooning the rice out so that I didn’t touch the bottom layer of rice as it would taint the beautifully cooked and fluffy white Hanmi rice.
In the Zojirushi 3 cup Micom Rice Cooker that I tested and now use, the pan is spherical. It has a clear coated stainless steel body that keeps it clean. This baby has a micro chip that adjusts to temperature and heating time to produce perfect rice.
Rice varieties include white – mixed, sushi, porridge, brown and quick cooking. The beauty of Zojirushi also includes automatic keep warm, extra large color LCD display and clock and timer functions.
The wheel re-invented with unimaginable and consistent results.
